Read the Bible in One Year: Day 72 – A Collection of Tears

Numbers 19-20 / Luke 1:1-25 / Psalm 56 / Proverbs 11:8

Psalm 56:8 You keep track of all my sorrows.  You have collected all my tears in your bottle.  You have recorded each one in your book.

Today we said our final goodbyes to Bradley. We attended Catholic Mass with his family and friends, and it was very honoring both of Bradley and of his faith in Christ.  Then we went together to his family’s mausoleum and interred his ashes.

It’s hard losing Bradley, but it’s even harder watching my daughter suffer. Loss is overwhelming, even though we all face loss. And grief changes you. You don’t get past the loss, and the grief gets softer, but it doesn’t disappear.

Life begins and life ends, but blessed be the Name of the Lord.  Thank you to each one who has prayed, sent thoughts, etc. these past two months. We’re grateful for you, and we’re grateful God collects our tears.
