Read the Bible in One Year Day 259 – Let God Arise, Goodbye Enemies!

Isaiah 22-24 / Galatians 2:17-3:9 / Psalm 60 / Proverbs 23:15-16

I enjoy movies where the theme is that classic struggle between good and evil.  In the movies, good always wins.  And guess what?  The same is true of real life.  It may appear as if evil has the upper hand, but things are not as they appear on the surface.  Jesus Christ has already won the entire war.  We may have battles and skirmishes and we may suffer loss, but in the end, we win!

If victory depended only on you and me, all would be lost.  However, since we are in Christ, victory is ours.  Romans 8:37 says, “Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and His demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything!”

I also love this verse from Psalm 68:1God!  Arise with awesome power, and every one of your enemies will scatter in fear!

I’m already feeling powerful!  LOL!  In our reading today I came across another amazing verse that follows this line of thinking.  Psalm 60:12 With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.

These three examples are only a tiny portion of all the kick butt, take names verses in the Bible.  When Father God sent His Son Jesus Christ to the earth, He sent Him to destroy the works of the enemy.  Father loves destroying the enemies works and plans.  Jesus destroyed those works and plans while on earth, and now it is our turn to do some damage.

Maybe you were taught that good boys and girls don’t get angry or violent.  But there is a time for both.  When injustice is ruling, or the enemy is robbing from another human being, it is time to rise and fight in the power of the Spirit of God.  Our warfare is not like that of the world.  We don’t use guns and knives; we use powerful Spirit weapons such as love and faith.

We have a sword called The Word of God.  When the enemy is coming against you with lies and violence, find some verses that will remind him of the truth and of who you belong to.  He has no power over you because all he can do is lie.  If his lips are moving, you can be assured that what you’re hearing is not true.

Is he accusing you?  Is he minimizing who you are?  All lies.  You are a child of God. You are a son or daughter.  You are kings and priests before your God. You have been knighted with, or delegated, the authority of Jesus Christ.  He gained that authority for you on the cross when He made a joke of the devil, taking back the keys of death, hell and the grave.  You have everything; the enemy has nothing.

All authority has been given to the Son by the Father and He is placing that same authority on you.  If Jesus Christ has all authority, the devil has none.  The only way the devil can gain anything in your life is if you choose to believe his lies.  Nothing he tells you is truth, so ignore it all.

If you’re having a day where you feel weak, call on God and ask Him to infuse you with His strength and power.  Romans 6:10-11 TPT says this, “For by His sacrifice He died to sin’s power once and for all, but He now lives continuously for the Father’s pleasure.  So let it be the same way with you!  Since you are now joined with Him, you must continually view yourselves as dead and unresponsive to sin’s appeal while living daily for God’s pleasure in union with Jesus, the Anointed One.”

Everything that Jesus has was transferred to you when you were born again.  You are no longer that old person; you are a completely new creation, and you house within you the mighty power of God.  This is the same power that was used to create the universe, including you.  Through Jesus Christ, there is nothing you cannot accomplish
