Word of the Week: Able

Happy Monday and welcome to our very first Word of the Week at Still the Mom!

It’s the first Monday of the first week of a new year and everyone is thinking of fresh ideas.

Maybe you have a new business in mind.  Or maybe you’ve started learning a new skill – or are planning to cook a new recipe.  Whatever you have in your heart to do, I want to encourage you that you are ABLE!

Able is our first word of the week for 2021,

What do you think of when you hear that word?

I think of “able bodied seaman” or “God is able”. But I also think of the opposite “unable”. Why do we tell ourselves we are unable to do something? Aren’t we endowed with strength, courage and amazing abilities?

Maybe it’s not that we’re unable; maybe it’s that we BELIEVE we are unable.

At the core, we must believe we are able and then we will be. What we believe, we accomplish. What we don’t believe, we do not accomplish.

Today, I tell you, “You are able to ____!” And you fill in the blank.

Please read that out loud to yourself and fill it in with the thing that is most on your mind; the thing that is attempting to get the best of you, because I believe you are able to do, accomplish, or overcome that thing.

Please share below in what way you have decided today you are able.

For me?  I’m able to excel in my new business branding, even though the details sometimes get the best of me! LOL!
