Read the Bible in One Year: Day 11 – Rebekah’s Blessing

Genesis 24:52-26:16 / Matthew 8:18-34 / Psalm 10:1-15 / Proverbs 3:7-8

Rebekah’s blessing in Genesis, spoken over her by her family, falls right in line with the blessings God has already promised Abraham and his descendants.  It’s so exciting to me when I find myself walking along the path God so lovingly laid before me!

Here is Rebekah’s blessing:

Our sister, may you become the mother of many millions!

May your descendants be strong and conquer the cities of their enemies.

The next sentence is pivotal.  Then Rebekah and her servant girls mounted the camels and followed the man.

Rebekah had to go with Abraham’s servant to meet her destiny.  Her destiny did not come to her.  She had to act. That reminds me of another scripture in James that reminds us faith without works is dead.

Yes, have faith. Yes, pray.

But what are you going to DO with what God is telling you?

I can’t tell you what to do, but God sure can.  If He’s showing you a direction, He wants you to go, what steps are you taking toward that?

For me, God has shown me that I’m Still the Mom.  That’s awesome and exciting and fun!  But what now?

I need to be communicating with those God has called to listen.  So, I write, I record YouTube videos, I send e-mails (please subscribe below to receive those), I host women’s studies (please sign up for those under InCourage below and we’ll let you know when they start!), and I pray.

I do something with what God has spoken.

What about you?  What has God said, and what are you doing to take steps toward that?  How can I support you in that?  Please comment below or send me an e-mail and we’ll have a chat, and I’ll pray!

Many blessings to you
