Exodus 21:22-23:13 / Matthew 24:1-28 / Psalm 29 / Proverbs 7:6-23
Today I’m encouraged by two sentences in Psalm 29:11. The LORD gives His people strength. The LORD blesses them with peace.
Strength and peace are something many of us are in need of right about now! I know I need an increase in both, not from a natural perspective, but from the perspective of Heaven.
I just got off the phone with a friend, and we were talking about current world events. My answer to all that I’m seeing is, I want Heaven’s perspective. I want to align myself with God’s heart and His agenda. What other option is there?
If the Lord is giving me strength, He is giving me strength physically, materially, personally, socially and politically. Yes, please! I receive that!
If He is giving me peace, He is giving me completeness, welfare, safety, soundness in body, health, prosperity, quiet, contentment, friendship with people and Himself, peace from war… those are such rich meanings and beautiful promises!
I was talking to another friend yesterday who is having a hard time understanding the chaos all around us, unanswered prayers, and God’s involvement with His people. All I knew to tell her was that our perspective must be that of looking to God for Who He is. We must trust His character and His nature when we don’t understand what’s happening around us.
A lot of people are feeling uncertain, and I totally understand that. I feel that way also when I look at natural circumstances but when I choose to look into the eyes of Jesus, I see that strength and peace I need.
Will you look into His eyes with me?
