Leviticus 20:22-22:16 / Mark 9:1-29/ Psalm 43 / Proverbs 10:18
Send out Your light and Your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to Your holy mountain, to the place where You live. (Ps 43:3)
Psalm 43:3 (expanded using Strong’s Concordance) Send out (stretch out, extend) your light (everywhere diffused) and your truth (firm and stable peace, security, constant and perpetual favor of God, integrity, justice and sincerity); let them guide me. (put on my original, straight path) Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live.
Today’s devotional thought is a simple heart cry and prayer. We’ve talked before about praying scripture and this verse is a perfect example of doing that.
As a follower of Christ, I want to be near Him. I want to hear His voice and know His ways. If He is walking in a direction, I want to follow. If He has changed course, I want to know so I can adapt.
I want to walk where He walks, hear what He hears and see what He sees. I desire to align my heart with His both because I love Him and because that is the safest space for me to inhabit.
My prayer for you today mirrors the above verse. Would you agree with me?
