Numbers 6-7 / Mark 12:38-13:13 / Psalm 49 / Proverbs 10:27-28
Numbers 6:24-26
May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace.
Let’s dig a little deeper. May the Lord bless you abundantly and guard and keep watch over you. May the Lord surround you with His light and bend in kindness to you. May the Lord show you His approving attention and give you His safety and contentment.
This is a blessing we’ve heard many times. There’s even a current song based on this blessing; a song that I deeply like. How many times are we aware to vocally bless others? We’re sometimes quick to speak the negative we notice, but how often are we able to look beyond what we see and speak a heartfelt blessing?
I think it would take a great deal of faith to begin to call things that are not as though they were and speak that blessing!
Are you willing to do that for someone today? I pray that as you read this blessing, you take it in for yourself. I bless you today!
