Today our word is bodacious, which means bold, daring, fearless and admirable. And I can hear two different responses to that definition. One person admits to being bold, or forthright in her speaking, and the other admits to being timid and wanting to keep the peace. And of course, there is a variety of responses between those two.
But all personalities can be bodacious because boldness is based on trust. If I’m confident in something, that gives me boldness. If I lack confidence, I feel I have nothing upon which to stand.
Think of it this say. When someone disagrees with you on a topic, aren’t you sometimes looking for a friend to back you up? You trust that friend to be there for you and to be on your side, because she is your friend. Even if that friend thinks you’re wrong, she will defend you!
Do you also feel the “sass” behind that word bodacious? I do! And sometimes we just need some sass!
So, this week, find your voice – find your sass – find your boldness – and be bodacious!
