Read the Bible in One Year: Day 85 – We Never Die

Deuteronomy 5-6 / Luke 7:11-35 / Psalm 68:19-35 / Proverbs 11:29-31

Today’s encouragement is simple, yet life changing!  True life begins only when we accept the gift God gave through His Son Jesus Christ – when we say “yes” to His sacrifice on the cross.

Today I want to share some of my favorite verses that support this verse from Psalm 68.  Verse 20Our God is a God who saves!  The Sovereign Lord rescues us from death

Death is separation from God.  For those who belong to Christ, we never experience true death.

2 Corinthians 5:15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.

John 10:28-30 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”

I know I’ve shared this before, but I want to share again because it impacted me so deeply.  When my dad left earth in Oct 2016, Holy Spirit visited me in a strong way.  My first response was to laugh because I knew my daddy was with his Savior.  My second response was an abundance of tears because I was going to miss him so much.

Holy Spirit also brought a beautiful revelation to my heart that day.  He clearly said to me that my daddy did not die – that he had moved from life on earth, to life in Heaven.  That helped me so much!  I still grieve, but not without hope.  I’m thankful for the heritage God has given my family and me – that of faith in Jesus Christ.

I pray you have received this same hope.
